How Can Brick Church Middle Serve Your Student?

If you have a student in 5th, 6th, or 7th grade who is zoned to attend Brick Church Middle School, they will continue to be zoned for this school for the 2024-25 school year under new MNPS leadership. Parents will need to go through the enrollment process to secure their spot at the MNPS-led school. 

If your child was enrolled at LEAD Brick Church but not zoned for the school, you will have the option to either attend Brick Church Middle next year, attend your child’s zoned school, or attend another school in Nashville with open seats.

Students attending Alex Green Elementary who are zoned for LEAD Brick Church will be zoned for the new Brick Church Middle School for the upcoming year. 

What Will be Different for My Student?

In many ways, we hope students will have a seamless transition from the LEAD charter network to Metro Nashville Public Schools. Our curriculum aligns to the Tennessee State Standards, and we will ensure all students have access to high-quality textbooks and instructional materials, laptop technology, and other supports necessary to be successful.

Will My Child Have Opportunities Associated with the MNPS School Options Process?

We will provide ongoing support for families as you explore school options and our enrollment team will be available to discuss potential options for students seeking an alternative MNPS schools in the district with open enrollment.

What if My Student Has an IEP?

IEPs will transfer from LEAD Charter Schools to MNPS, with the same parental and staff rights and responsibilities as outlined in the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.

What About Teachers and Staff at LEAD Brick Church?

Teachers and support staff with LEAD charter school can apply for open positions at the new MNPS-led school if they meet the requirements and are chosen through an interview process. We want to ensure your students have access to great teachers and staff who will support the individual needs of your child.
